TWO POWERFUL MODES help brain injury and stroke survivors with left neglect improve at home while also helping occupational therapy (OT) and speech therapy (SLP) professionals to efficiently assess for right or left neglect and provide more effective treatment. * Use the Test mode to determine if and where a visual attention deficit exists. * Use the Practice mode to train scanning by finding targets in order. ++ SEE HOW IT CAN HELP – Download Visual Attention Therapy Lite for FREE! ++ ----------- CANCELLATION TASKS JUST GOT BETTER. This professional cognitive training app takes a familiar format for treating left neglect and transforms it into a dynamic, interactive tool for all ages. Visual Attention Therapy offers benefits that can only be achieved through technology: * Targets must be tapped from left to right, top to bottom in Practice mode, which trains users to slow down and scan the entire screen before they move on. * Immediate feedback with visual and auditory cues keeps users engaged. * Timed exercises increase motivation to work quickly and accurately. * Stop wasting time counting errors! Automated scoring includes data for accuracy by quadrant, time for completion, and mistakes in professional e-mailed reports. * Adjustable layouts and 10 levels of difficulty allow you to customize the experience to meet changing needs or multiple users. * Sidebar signal can flash in a variety of colors to draw attention to the left or right. * An endless variety of combinations eliminates the need to photocopy exercises, with the option to print screenshots when you need a traditional exercise. * Use only one target to focus on scanning, or use two targets at once to challenge users with working memory and alternating attention deficits. ----------- RACE AGAINST THE CLOCK to improve scores while improving cognitive and reading skills. After a stroke, sight can change in ways that are hard to live with: words slipping off the page, things missed on one side, the world feeling somehow incomplete. Stroke Sight is a simple, daily way to train your vision at home, at your own pace. It's built around nine exercises for the four most common visual changes after stroke (hemianopia, quadrantanopia, visual neglect and scotoma), based on the compensatory scanning and tracking approach used in stroke rehabilitation research. Why we built it Stroke Sight was made by a family living with stroke. After someone we love lost a large part of their visual field, we couldn't find an app that was thorough, calm to use, and available in our own language, so we built one. It's made in the UK, for survivors and the people who care for them. What you can practise • Field loss (hemianopia and quadrantanopia): practise scanning into the side you've lost, with guided exercises for noticing your surroundings and for reading. • Neglect (one-sided inattention): gentle tracking toward the side that gets overlooked, a widely used approach in stroke rehabilitation. • Scotoma (a blind spot): training to find the edges of the gap and work around it. The exercises use the kinds of scanning and tracking practice described in published stroke-rehabilitation research. What's included • Nine exercises, each with ten levels that adapt as you improve • Three colour modes (standard, high-contrast yellow and high-contrast white) for changed colour vision • Full left- and right-side support throughout • A one-tap progress report (PDF) you can email straight to your therapist or orthoptist, so they can see how you're getting on between appointments • Practise in your own language: 20 of them, including the first vision-rehab exercises in Welsh and Twi • Adjustable spatial audio (off, subtle or prominent) for sound sensitivity or hyperacusis • Works on iPhone and iPad In 20 languages Real, language-specific content, not machine-translated menus. English, Welsh, Irish (Gaeilge), Spanish, Latin American Spanish, French, Canadian French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Arabic, Chinese, Twi, Danish and Dutch. Everything stays on your device. Progress reports go through your own email app, so your information stays yours. A wellness tool, not a medical device Stroke Sight is here to support your daily practice. It doesn't diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and it isn't a substitute for professional care. Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Visual Attention Therapy at $19.99 against Stroke Sight's $29.99. Visual Attention Therapy also leads on ratings volume (486 vs 1) and chart position (#197 vs unranked). Stroke Sight's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
