**Some things shouldn't live in the cloud.** Qryo turns a message into a QR code only the right people can read. Encryption happens on your phone. No server in between. Type your secret. Lock it with a password, or split it across people you trust. The result is a QR code. You can show it, print it, pin it, or pass it. Only the right people, holding the right pieces, get to read it back. **WHY QRYO** * Multiple levels of protection: pick a plain code, lock it with a password, split it across people you trust, or combine all three. Each layer raises the bar. * Encryption happens on your phone. Nothing ever leaves it. * No sign-up. No account. No email. * Fully offline. Airplane mode works. * Strong AES-256 encryption, on-device. * Print a code on paper, pin it to a wall, mail it in an envelope. Your secret lives wherever you put it. * Scan with the camera, or import a saved QR image. **HOW IT WORKS** 1. Write your message on a clean, full-screen canvas. 2. Lock it. Pick a password, split it into pieces, or both. 3. Share the generated QR code(s) however you like. 4. The recipient scans (and enters the password if you set one) to reveal the message. **SPLIT A SECRET ACROSS PEOPLE YOU TRUST** Not every secret is safe with one person. Qryo lets you split a message into multiple pieces and decide how many must come together to unlock it. Free supports a 2-piece split. Qryo Pro raises the cap to ten and lets you set custom thresholds (3-of-5, 6-of-10, anything that fits). No single keyholder can open the message alone. **WHAT YOU CAN PROTECT** * Recovery phrases and seed words * Account passwords, vault combinations, bank PINs * Personal letters and family secrets * Estate instructions and inheritance details * Anything you don't want to text, email, or trust to the cloud **QRYO PRO (one-time purchase)** * Split a message into up to 10 pieces, with custom k-of-n thresholds for who needs to come together to unlock it. * Discreet QR style: plain black-and-white, indistinguishable from any other QR code, with roughly twice the capacity per code. * Export all generated codes as a single print-ready PDF, one-per-page or as a grid. * Pick a stronger level of key hardening when you want more headroom against a serious adversary. * Lifetime access. One purchase, all your devices. Family Sharing included. **PRIVACY BY DESIGN** * No servers. The app never connects to one. * No accounts. There's nothing to sign in to. * No analytics. No logs. * AES-256-GCM with Argon2id memory-hard key derivation. Standard, well-studied primitives. **Your secret. Your terms.**

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Altimeter & Barometer at none against Qryo's 1. Qryo's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 13 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
