The #1 Bunco App Worldwide! Experience the ultimate Bunco collection loved by players everywhere since 2012. Enjoy one app for all your Apple devices — buy once, play anywhere! Packed with excitement, this all-in-one game includes 5 Bunco variations plus 3 fun bonus games, each available in Classic or Coin gameplay modes. Whether you’re a casual roller or a competitive Bunco pro, this is the most complete and entertaining Bunco experience ever created! Now, pick your dice style: realistic 3D or clean flat. There are six rounds in each set of Bunco. The bell signals the beginning and the end of each round. Players earn points by rolling three dice. In each round, players are trying to roll the same number as the number of the round (for example, rolling at least one 3 in Round 3). One point is awarded for each number rolled that matches the round number. A player continues rolling until no points are scored. The dice then pass to the computer (3 different AI options to choose from). The round is over when 21 points total is reached. Rolling three-of-a-kind of the same number of the round you're on is a BUNCO! It is worth 21 points! Rolling three-of-a-kind other than the number of the round you're on is worth 5 points. Score Card is presented at the end of each game. Tiebreakers: 1) Most Wins (rounds) 2) Most Buncos (total) 3) Highest Score (total)

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: Mex Train at Free against Bunco Classic's $2.99. Mex Train also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (56% vs 42%). Bunco Classic's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.5) and update cadence (every 5 months vs every 16 months). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Bunco Classic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mex Train has 21 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Bunco Classic's written reviews are positive against 56% of Mex Train's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Bunco Classic ships an update every 5 months, Mex Train every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
