Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: العربية | alarabiya at 4.4 against Al Jadeed's 3.2. العربية | alarabiya also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 81). Al Jadeed's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Al Jadeed sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. العربية | alarabiya asks for nothing beyond the download.
العربية | alarabiya holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: العربية | alarabiya has 1.6K ratings behind it against 81, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of العربية | alarabiya's written reviews are positive against 28% of Al Jadeed's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
العربية | alarabiya ships an update every 5 weeks, Al Jadeed fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
