Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Cuespeak at 4.7 against Communicado's 4.0. Cuespeak also leads on ratings volume (87 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Communicado's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and review sentiment (100% vs 84%). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cuespeak sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Communicado asks for nothing beyond the download.
Cuespeak holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cuespeak has 87 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Communicado's written reviews are positive against 84% of Cuespeak's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Communicado ships an update every 3 months, Cuespeak every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
