Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: electric imp at 78% against glinet's 38%. electric imp also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). glinet's advantage is rating (3.5 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (23 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

glinet holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: glinet has 23 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of electric imp's written reviews are positive against 38% of glinet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

electric imp ships an update every 2 months, glinet every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
