Verdict

Both are free to download. Stigen sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Falk Maps asks for nothing beyond the download.
Falk Maps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 98% of Falk Maps's written reviews are positive against 100% of Stigen's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Falk Maps ships an update every 2 months, Stigen every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
