Both are free to download. Al Jadeed sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. أخبار مصر asks for nothing beyond the download.
أخبار مصر holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 81 and 35 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Al Jadeed's written reviews are positive against 0% of أخبار مصر's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Al Jadeed ships an update fortnightly, أخبار مصر every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
