Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is update cadence: DT at every 3 weeks against Wireless Mobile Utility's every 3 months. DT also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Wireless Mobile Utility's advantage is ratings volume (2.1K vs 18). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Wireless Mobile Utility holds the better App Store score, 1.8 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wireless Mobile Utility has 2.1K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Wireless Mobile Utility's written reviews are positive against 14% of DT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Wireless Mobile Utility ships an update every 3 months, DT every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
