Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Golf Genius at Free against FlinkGolf's $0.99. Golf Genius also leads on rating (4.8 vs 3.7) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months). FlinkGolf's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 26%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Golf Genius is free to download; FlinkGolf costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Golf Genius holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Golf Genius has 76K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Golf Genius's written reviews are positive against 67% of FlinkGolf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Golf Genius ships an update every 3 weeks, FlinkGolf every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
