Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FLOZABLE at none against VerbTeX LaTeX Editor's 2. FLOZABLE also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 71%). VerbTeX LaTeX Editor's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (168 vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

VerbTeX LaTeX Editor holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VerbTeX LaTeX Editor has 168 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of VerbTeX LaTeX Editor's written reviews are positive against 100% of FLOZABLE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

VerbTeX LaTeX Editor ships an update fortnightly, FLOZABLE weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
