Verdict

The call

UDA and Card Talk both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 68% of Card Talk's written reviews are positive against 26% of UDA's. Card Talk also leads on ratings volume (268 vs 9) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). UDA's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Card Talk sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. UDA asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

UDA holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Card Talk has 268 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of UDA's written reviews are positive against 68% of Card Talk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

UDA ships an update every 11 days, Card Talk every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
