Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: FTCE Math Test Prep at none against Easy Grade's shown. FTCE Math Test Prep also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). Easy Grade's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (11K vs 33). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Easy Grade sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and FTCE Math Test Prep sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Easy Grade holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Easy Grade has 11K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Easy Grade ships an update fortnightly, FTCE Math Test Prep every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
