Both are free to download. Keep Time sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Click Metronome asks for nothing beyond the download.
Click Metronome holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Click Metronome has 290 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Keep Time's written reviews are positive against 82% of Click Metronome's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Keep Time ships an update every 4 months, Click Metronome every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
