About

Bodogen

Features

Bodogen is a turn timer built for board games, with resource tracking in the same app. Whose turn is it, and how long do they have left? Nobody wants to be the person who says "are you done yet?" Bodogen takes both jobs off the table. IT SPEAKS, SO YOU CAN KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE BOARD - Announces the turn out loud when it starts - Warns at three minutes, one minute and thirty seconds - Counts down the final five seconds Nobody has to play timekeeper. Everyone stays in the game. A KITCHEN TIMER DOESN'T KNOW WHOSE TURN IT IS Bodogen shows the current player's name across the whole screen, tells everyone who is up next, and lists how much time each player has left. You can read the table situation from the far side of the table. ONE TAP TO PASS Finish your turn, hit the big button, done - the same rhythm as a chess clock. When a player runs out, the timer keeps counting into the negative instead of stopping, so overtime house rules still work. YOUR REGULARS STAY SAVED Add your group once and they stay on the device. No retyping names every game night. From the second session on, pick who is playing, set the length, and start. RESOURCE TRACKING, ONE TAB AWAY - Define your own resources with names and colors to match the game - Large plus and minus buttons, usable one-handed - Tap the number for direct entry, and set caps so a value can't overshoot - Swipe a row to zero it instantly at the end of a round - Every change is logged, so you can check what you spent and when No more miscounts, and no more recounting a pile you knocked over. SAVE A RULE SET, REUSE IT NEXT TIME Name a resource setup and it stays. Next time you play that game, pick it from the list. A game you had to pause picks up exactly where it stopped. SHARE RULES BY QR CODE, WITH NO NETWORK Turn your resource setup into a QR code and pass it around the table. The settings themselves live inside the code - no server, no room ID, no account. Scanning restores everything on that device alone. It works in a basement with no signal, and in airplane mode. GOOD FOR - Game nights, board game cafes, gaming weekends - Heavy euros, worker placement, area majority - anything with long thinking - Tournaments and timed teaching games - Talk-driven games such as tabletop RPGs and social deduction - Chess, shogi and go, as a game clock NO ACCOUNT, NO NETWORK Everything runs on your device. No sign-in, no connection, and none of your data leaves the phone. Bodogen: for game nights where nobody has to ask "are you done yet?"
