Indie RPG made with passion by a handful of old-school RPG fans. Eternium is an amazingly fun and beautifully crafted Action RPG, reminiscent of the great classics. Eternium stands out from other mobile Action RPGs by its effortless “tap to move” and innovative “swipe to cast” controls, and its player-friendly “no paywalls, never pay to win” philosophy. Drawing signs to cast spells is easy and rewarding. The tap-to-move control is more natural and relaxing than thumbsticks, and it’s also truer to the vintage point-and-click Action RPG experience. The game can be really played for free, as more than 90% of our players do. Purchases are completely optional. Gems, the game’s main currency, can be collected from enemies and quests. There is no limiting stamina or energy. The best things in the game are obtained by playing, not paying. With the exception of a couple of online-only features, the game can also be played offline after the content download completes. Eternium initially launched in 2014, and is actively being improved by the original development team. Through years of polishing, and feedback from millions of players, the quality of the game has steadily increased, making it now one of the highest rated games on the App Store. Enjoy the visceral satisfaction of responsive, fast-paced combat, with spectacular special effects, pleasing sounds, rewarding damage numbers, all set against immersive backdrops and atmospheric, inspiring music scores. Play as a Mage, Warrior or Bounty Hunter, wielding a sword, axe, staff or gun. Level up to learn new abilities and increase your attributes. Battle skeletons, zombies, automatons, aliens, demons, dragons and many other creatures, across four beautifully hand-crafted worlds, or in endless generated levels. Venture into dark caves and dungeons, explore forests, villages and graveyards, lay siege to demon controlled castles, brave snowy mountain peaks, travel to the moon to slay strange creatures among craters and canyons, and beyond, to the deserts, pyramids and jungles of the red planet. Open treasure chests to loot gold, gemstones and battle gear. Equip shiny breastplates, menacing helmets and hoods, spiked shoulder pads, mysterious cloaks or capes. Protect yourself with a shield, or choose to wield two weapons as a warrior. Rescue your tank, healer and ranger companions who will join you in battle. Use their abilities together with yours to create rewarding and powerful tactical combos. Experience a refreshing storyline, filled with interplanetary intrigue and seasoned with funny characters. Hunt your arch-enemy, Ragadam, across the worlds, while trying to uncover and undo his twisted plans. Progress from common to rare, epic and legendary gear. Find gemstones that fit in your armor’s sockets. Craft socketed rings and amulets, and fuse three of them into a higher quality one. Unleash awesome offensive abilities, such as Whirlwind, Shockwave, Arc Lightning or Immolate, control the enemy crowd with Frost Nova, Vortex, Silence, or sneak and assassinate with Smokescreen, Traps and Snipe. Each hero class has access to about 20 abilities (skills or spells), and each of your three companions has four more. The game starts simple, but culminates in a flurry of tactical possibilities at high levels. Once your hero reaches level 70, your experience points go into Champion Levels, which are unlimited and yield steady stat upgrades. Champion Levels are also inherited by your new heroes, so they will have an easier time growing up. Aside from the four story acts, an endless progression of beautiful, randomly generated levels awaits in the Trials of Valor game mode. Please see here for our Privacy Policy. Dodge through a neon-drenched sky in this fast, tap-to-fly arcade game. Tap the top half of the screen to dive, the bottom half to climb. Simple to learn, tough to master as the difficulty ramps up wave after wave. HOW IT PLAYS Two-zone tap control gives you direct command of the climb and the dive, so you are steering rather than just flapping. Seven escalating waves tighten the gaps and raise the speed, throwing pipes, tunnel corridors and incoming projectiles at you from Wave 3 onward. Every run ends the same way: one mistake. THE LOOK Everything is dressed: neon grids, glowing pipe interiors that animate as you pass through them, tunnel corridors you can decorate, and background themes that swap the whole palette. FIVE WAYS TO PLAY - Classic - unlimited runs and one all-time score to chase - Daily Challenge - one seeded course per day, identical for every player, with its own leaderboard and podium tracking - Projectile Storm - no pipes at all, just a relentless stream of incoming fire and a leaderboard of its own - Last Pilot Standing - a live battle royale. Outlast the lobby, then out-score whoever you outlasted. Bank stars mid-run to phase straight through geometry for two seconds, and hope you are clear when it wears off - Versus - challenge a friend to the exact same seeded course and settle it on score CHALLENGE ANYONE Finish a Classic run and send a link to the exact course you just flew, with your score attached. Whoever opens it gets the identical course - same pipes, same tunnels, same order - and both scores appear side by side at the end. No account needed to accept one. LEADERBOARDS AND FRIENDS Filter every board by all-time or this week, and by everyone or friends only. Send Versus challenges, and see the spot where a friend's Daily run ended marked on the course you are still flying. Every Daily also carries a gold DEV headstone showing where the developer's run finished, so there is a rival on the course even with no account and no friends. Tap any callsign to see that pilot's card - their record, in the cosmetics they chose for it. Turn a good run into a score card you can share, complete with the bird and course you were actually using. UNLOCK AND PROGRESS - Birds, trails, backgrounds, pipe colours and animated pipe designs, earned through score milestones, daily podium finishes, star collection, level ups and a few conditions you will have to find for yourself - Daily streaks that unlock decorated tunnel corridors at three, seven, fourteen, twenty one and thirty days - Five seasonal skins you can only earn during a real-world holiday window - fly 40 runs while it is open and the bird is permanently yours, each with its own trail and flap effect. The windows return every year, so missing one is not permanent - Combo Packs - a pipe interior, tunnel art and a background built as one place, sold together - Two daily missions, refreshed every day, worth 1200 XP each - Happy Hour every evening from 7pm to 8pm Central, when every run earns double XP - Skin mastery - put twenty five real runs and a score of fifty into a single skin to master it. Master eight of them and the APEX skin is yours - Levels and XP to level 100, then prestige ranks shown as insignia beside your name on every leaderboard, up to a tenth tier - Titles you can display next to your callsign, earned for scores, streaks and for finishing in the top percentages PLAY WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT Open it and fly. No sign-up, no email, no wall in front of the first run. Link an account only when you want your callsign backed up, your progress carried to a new device, and access to friends, Versus and Last Pilot Standing. Most of it is earned by playing. A handful of premium skins and combo packs are optional purchases, and nothing you buy makes you faster, smaller or harder to hit. No mid-run interruptions. Just you, the neon, and however many waves you can survive in an arcade game that keeps handing you one more reason to try again.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Eternium at none against Neon Drift Arcade's shown. Eternium also leads on ratings volume (64K vs 10) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Neon Drift Arcade's advantage is update cadence (daily vs fortnightly) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
