The fastest and most robust way to execute queries from your mobile device. QueryDB has spent over 15 years helping developers remotely query their MySQL databases on iOS. It's not just a desktop port: it handles flakey cellular network connections and delivering your data wherever you are! • Integrated UI support for parameterized queries • Support for SSH tunneling and MySQL native SSL • Optimized to run queries over low quality network connections. • Does not maintain persistent connections to your database • Automatically windows data requests to prevent data overload when querying large datasets. • Support for MPTCP for seamless network transitions between Wifi and cellular networks (SSH server and routers must also support) • Query oriented workflow. • Run queries with minimal steps. • Run the same queries across different environments (e.g. prod, staging, dev). • Support for Siri Shortcuts for both UI and scripting purposes • Unicode support. • Automatically sets to default database charset. • iCloud support • Easily synchronize servers and queries across all your devices. • CSV export through iOS extensions • Easily export data to Numbers, Files, and other sharing extensions that support CSV. Comprehensive MySQL version support: Versions 4,x, 5.x, 8.x, Amazon Aurora, Google SQL, MariaDB.
Traceroute
This network utility visualizes the path data packets take to reach a destination, displaying each hop's details like roundtrip time and IP address. It helps diagnose connection issues and understand network topology, including ISP and target system connections.
- Visualizes packet routes
- Displays hop details (time, IP, domain)
- Diagnoses connection issues
- Shows network topology
- Safari webpage integration

An iOS version of the famous unix traceroute command with a convenient extension to get a traceroute directly from a Safari webpage. A traceroute is a network tool used to show the route taken by packets across an IP network. The Traceroute tool will show you each hop sequentially, and total hops required. For each hop, it will display the hop #, roundtrip times, best time (ms), IP address, TTL, and domain name. Seeing the traceroute information can help you determine why your connections to a given server might be poor and can help you identify problems. It also shows you how systems are connected to each other, letting you see how your ISP connects to the Internet as well as how the target system is connected.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Traceroute at 5.0 against MySQL QueryDB SSH Client's 4.5. Traceroute also leads on price ($2.99 vs $9.99) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). MySQL QueryDB SSH Client's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (15 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

MySQL QueryDB SSH Client costs $9.99 and Traceroute $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Traceroute holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MySQL QueryDB SSH Client has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of MySQL QueryDB SSH Client's written reviews are positive against 60% of Traceroute's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
MySQL QueryDB SSH Client ships an update every 2 months, Traceroute every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
