Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Fireworks at 5.0 against TegaKey's 2.0. Fireworks also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4). TegaKey's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 33%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TegaKey sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Fireworks asks for nothing beyond the download.
Fireworks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of TegaKey's written reviews are positive against 33% of Fireworks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
TegaKey ships an update monthly, Fireworks every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
