Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Living Dead Pixels at 100% against Nebulous.io's 54%. Living Dead Pixels also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 13) and ads (none vs shown). Nebulous.io's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 45 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nebulous.io sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Living Dead Pixels asks for nothing beyond the download.
Nebulous.io holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nebulous.io has 2.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Living Dead Pixels's written reviews are positive against 54% of Nebulous.io's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Living Dead Pixels ships an update every 45 months, Nebulous.io every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
