Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: MsgTheWorld at 100% against TMSTV's 50%. MsgTheWorld also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). TMSTV's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. MsgTheWorld sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. TMSTV asks for nothing beyond the download.
TMSTV holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of MsgTheWorld's written reviews are positive against 50% of TMSTV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
MsgTheWorld ships an update every 13 months, TMSTV every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
