Welcome to Conspire, the crossword scanning and crossword sharing app. Collect your crossword puzzles together in one place so that you can always have them with you, and so that you can collaborate on them with your friends, even when you're not able to be in the same place at the same time. You can import crosswords into Conspire either from a printed newspaper or from the internet. Once imported you can invite your friends to work on your crossword with you. Answers that you type appear on their device. What they type appears on yours. If you can't be online together then Conspire will carefully merge the answers that you and your friends have entered.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Puzlit at 5.0 against Conspire's 3.5. Puzlit also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.4). Conspire's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 50%) and ratings volume (8 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Puzlit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Conspire's written reviews are positive against 50% of Puzlit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Conspire ships an update every 2 months, Puzlit every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
