Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Puzzle Clock at none against Cube Solver's shown. Puzzle Clock also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Cube Solver's advantage is ratings volume (54K vs 21) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Puzzle Clock sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Cube Solver sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Puzzle Clock against 4.2 for Cube Solver. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cube Solver has 54K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of Puzzle Clock's written reviews are positive against 68% of Cube Solver's.
Puzzle Clock ships an update every 4 months, Cube Solver every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
