RepCount is a workout tracker for strength training. It's free, with no ads and no limit on workouts, routines or exercises. Premium adds charts, personal records, supersets, drop sets and export. Every workout starts with the weights and reps from last time, so you always know what to beat. Use it for whatever you train: a 5x5 or upper/lower program, a bodybuilding split, calisthenics, or a home gym with a pair of dumbbells. IN THE GYM • Log more than weights and reps: bodyweight exercises (assisted or weighted), timed holds, farmer's walks, and cardio with time, distance and calories • Warm-up sets, and notes on any set, exercise or workout • A rest timer that can start when you check off a set, with the countdown on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island • Start a workout or routine with Siri or Shortcuts • Share a finished workout as an image ROUTINES AND EXERCISES • Build your own routines, save any workout as a routine, or repeat a past workout • Add your own exercises. Built-in exercises show a demo and the muscles they work YOUR DATA • Sign in with Apple, Google or email, and your workouts are backed up and synced between iPhone and Android • Works offline, even in a basement gym • Saves workouts, active calories and body weight to Apple Health PREMIUM • Your estimated one-rep max from every set, charted over time, so you can see your strength go up without testing a true max • Charts of heaviest weight, volume, sets and reps per exercise, plus workout frequency, duration and body weight • Personal records for every rep range, all-time and for each year • Exercise history and charts right from the workout screen • Supersets and drop sets • Export your workouts to Excel (CSV) QUESTIONS Can I see my progress without Premium? Yes. Every workout you've logged stays free to look back through, month by month, and each set starts from last time's numbers. Premium adds the charts, personal records and exercise history inside a workout. Is it good for beginners? Yes. Start with one of the built-in routines and build your own when you're ready. RepCount has been downloaded more than 2 million times on iPhone and Android. It's been on the App Store since 2013, with several hundred updates so far, and it keeps getting better. Questions or ideas? Email feedback@repcountapp.com. We read and answer every message. SUBSCRIPTION RepCount Premium is an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. It renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. My mission is to deliver a workout training log app that will help you make progress, build strength, and ensure hypertrophy, all that for free. I will never change the free feature to a paid one, spam the paywall, limit routines or workout logs, etc. (all the bad stuff other workout trackers do). What stands Strive apart: - Create unlimited workout routines, most trackers paywall this - Crate workout plans, assign workouts to days or in an order - Share your workouts with your friends or followers - train together without paying - Set weight or reps for the next workount and ensure progressive overload, go get those gains - RIR/RPE tracking with effective reps metric - Sync cardio and bodyweight with Health so you don't have to input the data manually - Mark workouts as deloads to better understand and analyze the data - Advanced charts without paywall, analyze routine, bodypart or exercise progress - Fully offline - I know some gyms have poor reception - Rest timer personalizeable per exercise - Personalizable dashboard - Choose from many widgets in various sizes to compose your dashboard, just like your phone's homescreen. Have all the data visible at a glance! - Placeholder exercise, select exercise category and bodypart or a group of exercises and then select the actual exercise when working out, based on the feelings or what's free at the gym - Custom keyboard to input workout data frictionlessly, allows to copy value from previous set, set value to all sets, and increment and decrement value - Wrapped, see your year in review at the end of the year - Themes & theme creator - Privacy first - no data tracking - No ads Rest of the features that you would expect: - Measurements and weight ins - Notes - Backup - never loos your data - Prs - Use all the set types, warmup, dropset, myo reps etc - Workout finish reminder - never again open an app to see that you have not saved the previous training - Dark mode - Exercise database I hope my app will help you achieve your goals, in general, just progress and get better. I promise to develop this app until it is your favorite gym log and workout tracker app. Remember, we all are gonna make it! Your gym bro, Artur. _________________________________________ Terms of Use: https://strive-workout.com/terms-conditions/ Privacy Policy: https://strive-workout.com/privacy-policy/

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is monetization model: Gym log at free against RepCount's freemium. Gym log also leads on iOS requirement (16.2 vs 18.0). RepCount's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 881). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for RepCount against 4.9 for Gym log.
