RepCount is a workout tracker for strength training. It's free, with no ads and no limit on workouts, routines or exercises. Premium adds charts, personal records, supersets, drop sets and export. Every workout starts with the weights and reps from last time, so you always know what to beat. Use it for whatever you train: a 5x5 or upper/lower program, a bodybuilding split, calisthenics, or a home gym with a pair of dumbbells. IN THE GYM • Log more than weights and reps: bodyweight exercises (assisted or weighted), timed holds, farmer's walks, and cardio with time, distance and calories • Warm-up sets, and notes on any set, exercise or workout • A rest timer that can start when you check off a set, with the countdown on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island • Start a workout or routine with Siri or Shortcuts • Share a finished workout as an image ROUTINES AND EXERCISES • Build your own routines, save any workout as a routine, or repeat a past workout • Add your own exercises. Built-in exercises show a demo and the muscles they work YOUR DATA • Sign in with Apple, Google or email, and your workouts are backed up and synced between iPhone and Android • Works offline, even in a basement gym • Saves workouts, active calories and body weight to Apple Health PREMIUM • Your estimated one-rep max from every set, charted over time, so you can see your strength go up without testing a true max • Charts of heaviest weight, volume, sets and reps per exercise, plus workout frequency, duration and body weight • Personal records for every rep range, all-time and for each year • Exercise history and charts right from the workout screen • Supersets and drop sets • Export your workouts to Excel (CSV) QUESTIONS Can I see my progress without Premium? Yes. Every workout you've logged stays free to look back through, month by month, and each set starts from last time's numbers. Premium adds the charts, personal records and exercise history inside a workout. Is it good for beginners? Yes. Start with one of the built-in routines and build your own when you're ready. RepCount has been downloaded more than 2 million times on iPhone and Android. It's been on the App Store since 2013, with several hundred updates so far, and it keeps getting better. Questions or ideas? Email feedback@repcountapp.com. We read and answer every message. SUBSCRIPTION RepCount Premium is an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. It renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you subscribe.

You spend 6 hours a week under a barbell. You track every set, every rep, every progressive overload. But when it comes to food, you're estimating. And that's why you're stuck. That isn't a discipline problem. You have plenty of discipline. It's a measurement problem — the gym half of your training is logged to the gram, and the kitchen half is a guess. GainCut closes that gap. PHOTO-FIRST MACRO TRACKING Point your camera at your plate. GainCut identifies the food, works out the portion, and logs the macros. No food database to scroll, no barcode to hunt, no entering every ingredient by hand. Trained on real portions — including HK and Chinese staples like char siu, rice, noodles and dim sum — because those are the meals that actually break generic trackers. RECOVERY, NOT JUST CALORIES Training load is only half the picture. GainCut reads your heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, and sleep from Apple Health, then turns them into a plain-language readiness score. You get told what the number means for today's session — push, maintain, or back off. No dashboard to interpret, no guessing whether you're recovered or just motivated. THE SEVEN DAYS THAT COUNT One good day proves nothing, and neither does one bad one. Your macros move your body over a week, not in 24 hours — so GainCut scores you on a rolling seven-day window. It also separates the two things most apps blur together: • Where your body is actually heading — measured against your real, measured burn, not a formula. • How closely you hit your own target, day to day. Those can point in opposite directions, and both can be true at once. A week that looks flat on the scale can still be the week you nailed your plan. GainCut shows you which one you're in — including on maintenance, where the goal is to stay, not to cut. BUILT FOR PEOPLE WHO TRAIN • Set your own surplus or deficit — 0 to 1,000 kcal, not a fixed default. • HealthKit-synced weight and body-fat trends, so progress is measured, not felt. • A food database tuned for real, cooked, restaurant and home-cooked meals. • Fast manual logging for the days you already know what you ate. If you're exact in the gym and approximate in the kitchen, that gap is the whole problem. GainCut is the other half of your training log. Track what you lift. Track what you eat. Stay in the green.

Verdict
RepCount and GainCut are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
