Earthquake. Gas leak. Lost on a hike. Choking. When something goes wrong, your mind often goes blank — and you don't know where to even start looking for help. Preplo is a scenario-based disaster preparedness tool: 19 common situations across home accidents, weather disasters, outdoor activities, and public safety, turned into plain-language quick-check cards you can pull up anytime, even offline. CORE FEATURES - 19 quick-check cards covering earthquakes, gas leaks, fires, burns, CPR+AED, typhoon power/water outages, flooding, landslides, getting lost while hiking, hornet stings, snake bites, choking, and more - Interactive scenario simulations: practice decision-making with multiple-choice questions that explain wrong answers too, so it actually sticks - Go-bag checklist: organized by category, check off your progress at a glance - Region setting: switch between "Taiwan" and "Abroad" mode to see only locally relevant info - One-tap emergency call: 119 / 110 in Taiwan mode, 112 abroad. It opens your phone's dialer and you press call yourself - Fully offline — no internet connection needed to look things up Every card cites its sources, mainly official agencies (fire departments, health authorities, disaster prevention agencies). No account or login needed — all data stays on your device. IMPORTANT Preplo provides general disaster-preparedness information and does not replace professional emergency response or medical treatment. In an emergency, call your local emergency number first. The app is free with native ads; a one-time in-app purchase removes ads permanently.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 新北愛 BOOK at none against Preplo's 1. 新北愛 BOOK also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Preplo's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
