Technical issues like power outages at cell towers, to the amount of signal your phone has, to internet outages, etc. prevent us from ensuring you will get a notification in real time, every time an incident occurs. This app requires the following permissions on your phone: Network communication and memory. This app was created by myEMAapp.com. Requires iOS 5.0 or greater and an active internet connection.

This app is not meant to be used to report emergency situations. If you experience an emergency please dial 911, or you can now text 911. Some of the links available in this app are: emergency alerts, local traffic and weather information and warnings, social media contacts, and preparedness information that will guide you to measures you can take NOW to be ready if disaster strikes. By empowering our residents and business communities through technology, Chemung County Emergency Management can aid in citizen preparedness by sharing tips and preparedness/prevention measures, and can gain better situational awareness during an emergency from people who are being affected, as the situation is evolving, when they use this app to report what they are seeing and experiencing.
