Unlike traditional design tools where you have to define nodes and elements to model your structure, iBeams Pro let's you work like you normally do. You sketch out your beam and loads like you would on a design pad, and instantly view shear, moment, deflection and reactions diagrams. It is very easy to modify and view variations, and you can rapidly analyze several beams in a matter of minutes rather than hours, allowing you to finish your designs more rapidly than ever before. The file format is compatible with iBeams Pro for macOS. Features include: • Beam diagrams with multiple loads and supports, and the corresponding shear, moment, deflection, and reaction diagrams • User editable properties • Imperial and S.I. (metric) units • Editable material and section properties (ships with AISC, BS5950, CISC, and AS/NZS databases) • Multiple supports • Multiple loads • Joints and Moment Releases • Annotations • synchronize preferences and property settings between macOS and iOS versions of this application • support for storing documents on Cloud shares
sSLOPE
Perform quick slope stability analyses on your mobile device. This app uses the simplified Bishop method to calculate the Factor of Safety for soil and rock slopes, supporting various conditions like water tables, external loads, and seismic forces.
- Analyze horizontally layered soil slopes (up to 7 layers)
- Incorporate water table effects and ponded water
- Apply vertical external loading
- Model pseudo-static seismic loads
- Simulate End Anchored and Soil Nail support
- Adjust failure surface search limits
- Utilize Mohr-Coulomb and Hoek-Brown strength criteria
- Generate and email PDF reports

sSLOPE is designed to perform a quick slope stability analysis on your phone device. sSLOPE is very simple and easy to use. sSLOPE uses the simplified Bishop method (method of slices) to discretize the soil/rock mass and determine the Factor of Safety (FOS). sSLOPE has the following features: • The stability of horizontally layered soil slope (up to maximum 7 layers) can be analyzed using the latest version (i.e. sSLOPE v3.0). • Water Table can be used for calculating pore pressure. The Water Table can also be used to define ponded water above the slope surface. • Vertical external loading (compression distributed pressure) can be easily applied to the upper slope of a model. • Pseudo-static seismic loads can be added to model by defining the seismic load coefficients in the horizontal and/or vertical directions. • The End Anchored and Soil Nail support can be used to model slope reinforcement. • Failure surface search limits can be modified to narrow down the search area to achieve better accuracy. • Both Mohr-Coulomb and Generalized Hoek-Brown strength criterion can be used to assess stability of soil and rock slopes. • The Settings Tab can be used to configure the main analysis parameters for the model, such as Units of Measurement, Project Title and etc. • The brief summary of analysis results and input data will be displayed in the Report Page. The report button, allows user to save the current model’s input and output information into PDF file. The generated report file can be sent out via email.

Verdict
The clearest difference is price: sSLOPE at $3.99 against iBeams Pro's $21.99. sSLOPE also leads on rating (4.0 vs 3.7) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). iBeams Pro's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 27 months) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

iBeams Pro costs $21.99 and sSLOPE $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
sSLOPE holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iBeams Pro has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
iBeams Pro ships an update every 4 months, sSLOPE every 27 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
