Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Wright at none against Skip Search's 1. Wright also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (20 vs 1). Skip Search's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Skip Search sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Wright asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Skip Search holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wright has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Skip Search's written reviews are positive against 81% of Wright's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Skip Search ships an update fortnightly, Wright monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
