Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Horista at 5.0 against World Clock's 3.9. Horista also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (daily vs every 6 weeks). World Clock's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium) and ratings volume (14 vs 2). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. World Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Horista sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Horista holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: World Clock has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
World Clock ships an update every 6 weeks, Horista daily. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
