Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Vertex Golf at 5.0 against PuttLab's 1.0. Vertex Golf also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). PuttLab's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
