Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Spol at 5.0 against RECS's 3.0. Spol also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). RECS's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Spol holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RECS has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

RECS ships an update every 2 months, Spol every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
