The purpose of SimVoice Police is for use by law enforcement in scenario-based training, specifically, the Setcan™ Compassion Driven Intervention Training™. SimVoice Police contains examples of auditory hallucinations similar to what a person with a mental disorder, such as paranoid schizophrenia, might hear in various scenarios when they are approached by police. The role player in the training will wear wireless headphones to hear and react to the audio and the instructor uses the app to control the message of the voices, while the students interact with the role player. SimVoice Police is a tool to give law enforcement a better understanding of what people who experience auditory hallucinations might be going through and to train for handling these interactions properly.
