Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Remote Trackpad at 3.8 against DameWare Mobile's 3.0. Remote Trackpad also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (39 vs 1). DameWare Mobile's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remote Trackpad sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. DameWare Mobile asks for nothing beyond the download.
Remote Trackpad holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Remote Trackpad has 39 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of DameWare Mobile's written reviews are positive against 15% of Remote Trackpad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
DameWare Mobile ships an update every 12 months, Remote Trackpad every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
