About

MCSAID

Features

MCSAID is an educational application dedicated to the topic of mechanical cardiocirculatory support for patients with cardiogenic shock. A basic section introduces the definitions and classifications of cardiogenic shock as well as some of the common devices used for hemodynamic support in unstable patients. There is an algorithm for helping understand the decision process depending on key clinical variables such as cardiac output and PAPI. There are also several weaning and escalation algorithm. A calculator section is available for some common hemodynamic variables used in MCS decision-making and is available for quick-reference throughout the algorithm. MCSAID is an educational application for medical professionals and is not intended for making medical diagnoses. Medical decisions must be made by licensed professionals with the entire context of a patient’s medical history. If you are seeking a medical diagnosis, contact your physician and if you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency medical services.

About

ROTEM

Features

ROTEM (rotational thromboelastometry) is a point-of-care viscoelastic test that evaluates coagulation in real time using whole blood, rather than just providing an isolated number like PT or aPTT. In just a few minutes, it shows how the clot forms, how firm it is, and whether it degrades, through its channels (EXTEM, INTEM, FIBTEM, APTEM, HEPTEM) and parameters (CT, CFT, A5/A10, MCF, ML). It is a key tool for guiding transfusion therapy in trauma, cardiac surgery, postpartum hemorrhage, and severe perioperative bleeding. The problem: ROTEM provides a lot of information quickly... but interpreting it under pressure, remembering normal ranges, and translating it into a concrete action plan isn't always easy, especially outside clinical areas where it is used daily. That’s where ROTEM Interpreter comes in. Enter the values from the terminal, and the app does the rest: Live temogram: As you type, the clot morphology for each channel is drawn—just as you see it on the device—connecting the numbers with the visual image to cement the pattern in your memory. Automatic interpretation: Identifies key patterns: hyperfibrinolysis, fibrinogen vs. platelet deficiency, factor deficiency, heparin effect, and hypercoagulability. Suggested action with dosing: Translates the findings into practical recommendations, calculating fibrinogen dosage (based on target A5 increase and body weight) and A5-guided platelet dosing. Step-by-step management algorithm: (EXTEM/FIBTEM) featuring zoom and pan capabilities for detailed exploration. Integrated guide: Test portfolio, diagnostic patterns, fibrinogen calculation, and an evidence and guidelines section (Cochrane, European Trauma Guideline, ESAIC, EACTS, NICE, OBS2) with links to the original sources. Device-saved interpretation history: 100% offline, light/dark modes, for both adult and pediatric profiles. Who is this for: Intensivists, anesthesiologists, emergency physicians, hematologists, and residents who want to interpret ROTEM quickly and confidently at the bedside. Decision support tool: This app does not replace clinical judgment or correlation with the patient's context; always verify against local ranges and protocols.
