A NOTE ON ACCURACY The height is an estimate. Accuracy depends on a correct distance, a steady phone and a clear line of sight to the top and base — zero on a level horizon first. For estimation only; verify critical measurements with a calibrated instrument. MORE THAN TREES • Distance — sight the top of something whose height you know (a door, a pole, a building) and read how far away it is. • Area — enter the sides of a rectangle or a four-sided plot and get m², ft², acres or hectares. No tape? The pace helper turns your steps into metres. • Timber — estimate standing-tree volume from height and DBH, plus log yield in board feet by the Doyle, Scribner and International ¼-inch rules. Tree height carries over from your last saved measurement. HOW TO AIM Hold the phone upright, look across its top edge and tilt the back of the phone up toward the treetop. Looking up reads positive, looking down reads negative, and a light tap confirms each capture. Every height is saved to your history, where you can export a CSV or build a summary report.
