CookingLab
Read full descriptionHide full description
Korean home cooking — the everyday dishes Korean families actually make. Wondering what the dish you just cooked actually cost? Check it in CookingLab. Wondering how healthy your own recipe is? CookingLab breaks the nutrition down ingredient by ingredient. Build on your own recipes and on the ones posted by CookingLab's cooks, and end up with something better than either. When a recipe you posted goes down well with other users, the points add up. And more than a thousand free recipes — the public dataset published by Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety — come with the app. WHAT WILL IT COST Every recipe carries the price of its ingredients, worked out from current Korean market prices. Open the breakdown and you can see what each ingredient adds — so you know before you shop, not after you have paid. WHAT AM I EATING Up to 17 nutrients per recipe: calories, carbohydrate, protein, fat, sodium, sugars, saturated and trans fat, cholesterol, fibre, calcium, iron, potassium, phosphorus, and vitamins A, C and D. Each one is shown against a daily reference, so a number means something. Sign in with your age and sex and the reference adjusts to you. And where the data is genuinely missing, we say so rather than filling the gap with a zero — an unknown and a nothing are not the same thing. COOK WITH WHAT YOU HAVE Search by dish name or by ingredient. Type what is already in the fridge and see what it can become. WRITE YOUR OWN Post a recipe with photos and properly formatted steps. Save it as a draft, finish it later, publish when it is ready. Every recipe you post earns points and moves you up the cook rankings. TAKE IT TO THE KITCHEN Save any recipe as a PDF — ingredients, costs, full nutrition and every step — and cook from it on paper or on your phone with no signal at all. ALSO IN THE APP - Korean and English throughout, switched automatically - Keep favourites in your own collection - A recipe picked for you each day, and cooking tips worth knowing - Free to use Recipes are on the web too, at cookinglab.app. End User Licence Agreement (EULA) https://sichans.com/CookingLab/CookingLab_terms/cookinglab_eula_en.html CookingLab Terms of Service https://sichans.com/CookingLab/CookingLab_terms/cookinglab_terms_en.html

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: CookingLab at every 3 days against Bread Diary's every 10 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
