You're riding an inflatable tube down an endless mountain and the lava is right behind you. TUBER is a fast, twitchy, pixel-art downhill runner about one thing: don't melt. Your tube heats up the longer you ride, so grab boosts to cool down, thread the gaps, and stay ahead of the molten flow. Slow down and the lava surges. Outrun it and rack up a combo. Crash and watch your speed, and your nerve, melt away. CHASE THE LINE - Hold left or right to carve down a procedurally built slope. - Snag boosts to cool your tube and build a multiplier. - Skim obstacles for near-miss points. Threading the needle is its own reward. - Hit ramps for big air and STYLE bonuses. CLUTCH POWER-UPS - Stopwatch: bend time into slow motion to thread the impossible. - Frost Ward: a one-hit shield that shrugs off a crash with no penalty. - Bulldozer: plow straight through everything for a few glorious seconds. OUTRUN THE SURGE - Let the heat climb too high and the lava SURGES. Grab a boost in time or you're toast. A MOUNTAIN THAT CHANGES DAILY - A new Daily Mountain every day with its own modifier. Hot Conditions, Dense Forest, Boost Rush, Ice Storm, Whiteout and more. - Daily missions, login streaks, and a soft-currency economy ("Flakes") to chase. COLLECT EVERYTHING (no pay-to-win) - Dozens of tubes and trails to unlock from a rubber duck to a flamingo pool float. - Complete themed cosmetic SETS for bonus rewards. - Everything is earnable by playing. The only purchase is an optional one-time Starter Bundle. Cosmetics never change how the game plays. PLUS - Game Center leaderboards and 50+ achievements. - Crisp retro pixel art, juicy game feel, and a few secrets to discover. How deep can you get before you melt?

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Tuber at 5.0 against Cardio Quest's 4.2. Tuber also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 59%) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). Cardio Quest's advantage is ratings volume (59 vs 11) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cardio Quest sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Tuber sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Tuber holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cardio Quest has 59 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of Cardio Quest's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tuber's.
Cardio Quest ships an update every 2 weeks, Tuber every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
