Build a little riyaz into your day. Pick a taal, set your tempo and Sa, and practise with tabla, tanpura and lehra that return to sam every cycle. Dha brings together 28 accompaniment cycles and 41 guided tabla lessons on iPhone and iPad, plus a taal keeper on Apple Watch. Start free with five Foundations lessons, a playable dayan and bayan, sam, tali and khali markers, tanpura, lehra and a taal-aware metronome. PRACTISE WITH ACCOMPANIMENT • 28 bundled taal cycles, including Teental, Keharwa, Dadra, Jhaptaal, Rupak and Ektaal, with sam, tali and khali shown on a taal clock. • Set tempo and Sa, tap the tempo in, and mix tabla, tanpura and lehra. • A metronome that knows the taal: a click on every matra, strongest on sam and softest on khali. Turn the theka off for a click-only or lehra-only loop. • The lehra (nagma) is a simple synthesized loop through a chosen scale that keeps the cycle; it is not a raga performance. • Roman or Devanagari bol notation, an AUv3 instrument and MIDI input. MEET YOUR TABLA Explore the pair, dayan and bayan in an original visual guide with synthesized reference sounds, then open the related Foundations lesson. Physical stroke technique still needs practice on real tabla with a teacher's guidance. A GUIDED PATH 41 structured lessons in eight modules cover thekas, kaydas, relas, layakari, tihais and accompaniment. Each lesson gives a practice target, common errors to listen for, and a teacher or self-review checkpoint. Dha returns you to your saved lesson and tempo. UNDERSTAND THE TIMING Optional microphone checks estimate pulse, relative spacing, tempo consistency and return to sam. The estimates are experimental and may be wrong; quiet, clipped or uncertain takes are left ungraded. Dha does not recognize correct bols or verify physical technique. FREE, THEN LIFETIME Accompaniment, the metronome, tanpura, lehra, the five Foundations lessons, AUv3, MIDI and your practice history are free. Dha Pro adds the full 41-lesson course, unlimited experimental timing checks, private on-device Coach drills and the pattern composer. Dha Pro is sold as a one-time Lifetime purchase: pay once, no renewal, restorable, and available to Family Sharing. Where the app still lists monthly or yearly plans, they renew automatically until cancelled; manage them in Settings > Renewal & cancellation. Buying Lifetime does not cancel a subscription for you. No account is needed. Practice audio and coaching stay on your device. Dha is a Playsoloist app and a companion to your tabla practice. A real teacher still matters.
