About

Brushbeat

Features

You usually notice that you have been clenching your teeth only after your jaw already aches. Brushbeat helps you catch awake bruxism the moment it happens, with no judgment and no demand for constant self-watching. WHY THIS MATTERS Awake bruxism slips by because it happens while you work, drive, study, or scroll on your phone. Tension piles up quietly all day and shows up later as soreness, wear, or jaw clicks. Without an objective log, it is hard to describe the problem clearly to your dentist. HOW BRUSHBEAT WORKS Instead of asking you to stay self-aware all the time, the app sends prompts at random moments inside an active window you choose (for example, 9 AM to 6 PM). When a prompt arrives, you tap once to log how your jaw felt at that instant: relaxed, clenched, or unsure. This method, called EMA (Ecological Momentary Assessment), captures your real routine instead of forced self-observation. KEY FEATURES - Random prompts spread across your day - Custom active window that respects work and rest - One-tap logging straight from the notification - Trend dashboard with weekly and monthly charts - Weekly PDF report formatted for your dentist visit - Optional patient name on the PDF, for clinical records - Log stored locally on your device WHO IT IS FOR Adults who suspect awake bruxism, people whose dentist asked them to watch for daytime jaw tension, and anyone who wants to walk into the next appointment with consistent data instead of vague impressions. PRO (OPTIONAL SUBSCRIPTION) More daily prompts, fully custom active windows, and full history access. The purchase is handled by the App Store and can be canceled at any time from your Apple Account settings. PRIVACY Your bruxism log stays on your iPhone, in a local SQLite database on the device. The contents of your logged moments are not sent to any server. The app uses analytics and attribution services only to measure installs and improve the experience. IMPORTANT NOTICE Brushbeat is a self-tracking tool. It does not replace evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by a licensed dentist or qualified healthcare professional. If you have persistent pain, please seek clinical guidance. Start spotting the patterns you used to miss and bring clear, objective data to your next dental appointment.
