Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Freediving Breath Trainer at freemium against Code Red's subscription. Freediving Breath Trainer also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17 vs 26.5). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Freediving Breath Trainer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and Code Red sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Freediving Breath Trainer against 5.0 for Code Red. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freediving Breath Trainer has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
