RUTEN — drifting life and time A small planet, viewed from space. On a sphere, six lineages of life live within their own food chain. Closer to red: stronger, more predatory. Closer to blue: more numerous, gentler. Pillars of light (lifestreams) rise from continents, where life springs forth. At the center floats the era, lunar month, solar term, and a kanji-numeral clock. Occasionally, a meditation bell in a Japanese pentatonic scale chimes "pohn" (optional). >Modes ・Ranman — vivid blue Earth, abundant life darting and fleeing ・Wabi-Sabi — a translucent skeletal planet, sparse life walking quietly ＞Features ・Tap a creature to mark it as your favorite — it becomes immortal ・Home Screen widgets (small/medium/large) for daily seasonal notes ・Quiet notifications on each of the 24 solar terms (optional) ・Japanese / English ＞Philosophy Heraclitus's "everything flows" meets Kamo no Chomei's "the river flows ever onward": two voices a millennium apart, placed on the same sphere. This app accomplishes nothing. It is a place to gaze, and surrender to the flow.
