Written by Angie Jackson, R.R.T. Developed by an AHA instructor with 20+ years teaching experience. This app was developed specifically to follow the AHA ECC Guidelines, which is the governing authority for all CPR course content. It teaches guidelines that can be found at http://eccguidelines.heart.org. The app on its own does not certify users to perform CPR or use an AED; it intends to prepare them for a certification exam. The CPR + AED Basics app prepares learners with differing abilities to take the CPR exam with less stress and more confidence. Following a Learn, Practice, Play lesson framework, the CPR + AED Basics app teaches and reinforces CPR skills through hands-on practice and interactive gameplay. Learn the essential skills of CPR with the sequencing cards and the Life Saving Skills Book. Play and reinforce the skills taught with the game and the integral Skill, Scene, and Trivia Cards. Pave the path towards gainful employment Attainment’s new CPR + AED Basics Toolkit! Ideal for any job requiring CPR certification! CPR + AED Basics interactive game with Trivia, Scene, and Skills Cards plus Narrated Student Books Developed under a license agreement with Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC).

About

C.A.R.E. SimPace

C.A.R.E. SimPace is a two-device training simulator for temporary transcutaneous and transvenous pacemaker management β€” built for nursing, paramedic, and critical care education. HOW IT WORKS Pair two devices over your local network: an iPad becomes the bedside β€” a realistic vitals monitor with live ECG and pleth waveforms, paired with a full-function pacemaker generator (rate, output, sensitivity, AV delay, mode selection). An iPhone becomes the instructor console, where you load scenarios, set the underlying rhythm, and inject faults in real time. REALISTIC SCENARIOS - Failure to Capture β€” spikes with no response; learners must increase output - Undersensing β€” the pacer competes with the native rhythm; learners must adjust sensitivity - R-on-T β†’ V-Fib Arrest β€” an unsensed spike lands on the T wave, inducing V-Fib if not caught in time - Baseline Competency β€” set up DDD pacing correctly on a post-op 3Β° AV block - Atrial Flutter β€” RAP β€” terminate re-entrant flutter with rapid atrial burst pacing A live physiology engine drives every rhythm β€” normal sinus, sinus bradycardia, 3Β° AV block, junctional, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, V-tach, V-fib, and asystole β€” with clinically accurate capture thresholds, sensing behavior, and alarm conditions. BUILT FOR THE CLASSROOM Instructors get full live control: load a scenario, watch the learner respond in real time, and inject faults (failure to capture, undersensing, oversensing, lead fracture, battery depletion, loss of output, runaway pacemaker, PMT) on demand. An event log timestamps every action for debrief. Works solo on a single device too β€” no pairing required to practice independently. Training simulator only β€” not a medical device. All patient data is synthetic. SUBSCRIPTION C.A.R.E. SimPace offers a free trial, then a monthly or annual subscription for full access. See in-app purchase details before subscribing.
