Features

Nourish is a calm, privacy-first iOS companion designed for individuals with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and sensory/anxiety-driven eating challenges. Built to serve as a supportive tool between clinical sessions, Nourish eliminates the pressure often found in traditional nutrition apps. Safe Foods Library & Sensory Profiling - Build a personalized inventory of predictable, manageable foods without needing to justify your choices. - Tag foods by sensory properties (crunchy, smooth, soft, crispy, wet, dry) and physical characteristics. - Search the USDA FoodData Central database to add new items, with all calorie, macro, and weight metrics intentionally removed. Pressure-Free Exposure Logging - Record exploration attempts without scores, points, or performance metrics. - Log volume tried (from a small taste to all of it) and future willingness (Yes, Maybe, No) with neutral, pressure-free formatting. - Optionally track anxiety using a consistent 5-point scale (Calm, Okay, Uneasy, Anxious, Very Anxious). Social Eating & Event Preparation - Reduce mealtime uncertainty for restaurants, school lunches, holidays, and social gatherings. - Draft pre-order notes, menu research, customizable spoken scripts, and optional disclosure cards. - Look up restaurant details directly using integrated map search tools. Meal Mode & Ambient Distraction - Structured eating support timers (10, 15, 20, 30 minutes, or custom) to help pace meals. - Integrated calming audio environments (rain, campfire, ocean, forest) and quick links to audio apps. - Low-pressure post-meal check-ins with zero intake or volume expectations. Therapist-Ready PDF Reports - Export clean, on-device summary reports to share with clinical care teams. - Includes 30-day exposure logs, mood patterns, safe food updates, and custom clinician notes. - Personal journal reflections remain off by default and require explicit toggles to include. Local-First Privacy - Complete on-device data storage using SwiftData. There is no real account creation, logins, or cloud servers. - Zero weight tracking, BMI metrics, calorie counts, or third-party analytics trackers.
