"Is this halal?" Ask it of anything you eat, drink, or put on your body. HalalSnap is more than a label scanner: point it at one product or a whole shelf and it reads what is actually in front of it. Show it the ingredients and it gets forensic; show it a product with no readable label, and it tells you plainly what it is assuming. Not just a yes or no, but the reasoning behind it, in your language. WHAT YOU CAN SCAN Food and drinks, cosmetics and beauty, personal care, dental and oral care, supplements and vitamins, and more. If it has an ingredients list, you can scan it. HOW IT WORKS 1. Point your camera at the ingredients 2. Tap SNAP 3. Read the verdict and the why behind it It reads barcodes too and uses them for speed, but it never relies on one: a barcode only works when some database already has the answer, and databases have gaps. Every scan highlights ingredients that may need a closer look, explains why a result can be uncertain, and shows a photo-quality rating so you know when a clearer picture helps. WATCH FOR, ON FOOD Switch on personal checks that sit quietly under the halal result: allergy alerts for the big nine, a sugar read, a keto check, and Pregnancy watch, a practical heads-up on caffeine, unpasteurized dairy or high-mercury fish, built while the founder's wife was pregnant. Flags to help you look closer, never rulings, and never medical advice. BUILT FOR HOW YOU PRACTICE Muslims follow different schools of thought. Choose yours (Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali, or General) and the analysis takes it into account. SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE The whole app, including the analysis, works in 30 languages. TESTED BEFORE IT REACHES YOU Every update must read 38 real products correctly and refuse 5 trap products designed to tempt a wrong halal answer. About 600 test scans ran before this update shipped, and in every test round it never called a product more permissible than the evidence in front of it. Your verdict lands in about 6 seconds, measured July 2026. HONEST BY DESIGN HalalSnap gives guidance, not certainty. It is a first-pass helper, not a certification authority. Formulas and sourcing can change a ruling, so when something is doubtful, check with the manufacturer, a trusted scholar, or your local halal authority, and look for official certification where available. FREE, AND KEPT THAT WAY BY THE COMMUNITY Your first 5 scans are free, with more added every week. No account. No card. No ads. It is built by one Muslim developer, and Premium members are what keep it free for others who cannot pay. If it helps you, passing it on helps the next person. Featured in Berita Harian (Singapore). Made for the community. Have feedback? Send it right from Settings. It reaches me. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
