DeepSi is a camera that captures depth instead of light. It turns the depth data from your iPhone or iPad's depth hardware into colorful photos and videos that show the shape of whatever is in front of your device, even in complete darkness. DeepSi works with: - the LiDAR Scanner on the back of LiDAR-equipped iPhone and iPad models - the front TrueDepth camera on Face ID devices - dual rear cameras, at lower quality (dual cameras compare two regular images, so they need some light and can't see in complete darkness) How it works: - Tap the shutter button to take a depth photo. - Press and hold the shutter button to record a depth video. - Swipe left or right to switch between 12 color themes. Your theme is remembered between launches. - The colors follow your system Light or Dark Mode setting. - Switch between the front and rear depth cameras with one tap. - Everything is saved to a DeepSi album in your Photos library. It also works as a simple "night vision" viewfinder. DeepSi also works with Shortcuts and Siri: - Make Video from Frames turns a set of images into an mp4 (choose 1-120 fps, optionally add an audio track) using DeepSi's own video pipeline. - Get Latest Captures hands your most recent DeepSi photos and videos to other Shortcuts actions as files. - Read or change the depth Color Theme from Shortcuts - all 12 themes, and a live capture session recolors immediately. - "Get my latest DeepSi capture" is available from Spotlight and Siri with no setup. No accounts, no tracking and no third-party libraries. DeepSi makes no network calls of its own and works completely offline. Acknowledgments: App Icon Octopus Shape - Image by Freepik
