Improve your child's articulation and pronunciation! Brought to you by a Speech Language Pathologist and the creator of the SpeakEasy: Home Speech Therapy app which has accelerated early language development for over 100,000 families. With Articulation Teacher, you choose specific sounds to work on with your child. You can work on Early Sounds like D or T, Middle Sounds like G or S, or Late Sounds like L or R. Articulation Teacher includes at home articulation activities to do with your child outside of the app as well as games to play with your child in the app. All suggestions are evidence-based and research-backed. Let's dive into what each sound set includes: --- In-App Games Our articulation games are best played side by side with your child, but if your child is up for it they can play the games on their own as well. For each sound, we have the following games: Splat: say the selected word, and have your child splat it from the choices on the screen! Name It: our simplest game, this is meant for rapidly trying to say different words using digital flash cards. Swipe to the next word and help your child say it out loud. Sound Check: look at and listen to each word, and have your child decide whether the word includes the sound you're working on or not. Space Match: play this out-of-this-world memory game, saying each word as you flip over each card, to work on both articulation and cognitive skills. Paper Games: print a list of articulation practice words and play these games around your house, bringing articulation practice directly into the world around you. --- Home Activities Each sound has 5 activities to try with your child at home. You can read these activities ahead of time, then do them with your child when you can. We recommend trying to do at least one Home Activity each day, and we encourage repetition as much as possible! Home Activities that focus on pronunciation and articulation are the most effective way to spend time with your child to work on speech development. We use videos, books, songs, and the world around you to help integrate articulation practice into every day. --- What Sounds and Letters Are Included? In Articulation Teacher, you can work on the following sounds: Early Sounds: B, P, M, D, T, N, and Vowels Intermediate Sounds: K, G, W, F, S, SH, and Multisyllabic Words Advanced Sounds: L, Final -L, R, R Blends, S Blends, and TH --- More Features Each sound also has an intro video that teaches you how the sound is made, as well as a digital and printable cue card which you can use to help remind your child to pronounce a sound. This cue card fits within the cueing hierarchy explained in the intro video. Cues are an essential part of articulation practice that we integrate directly into our games and activities. Plus, check out developmental milestones to know if your child is on track, and read free learning articles related to articulation development. Articulation Teacher is also meant to be used by SLPs during their sessions as an aid to articulation practice. Created by a speech-language pathologist, Score 4 Articulation makes speech practice fun, motivating, and effective. This innovative articulation app combines the excitement of a classic game with targeted speech sound practice to help children improve their articulation skills. Whether you're an SLP looking for a powerful speech therapy tool or a parent supporting speech at home, Score 4 Articulation is a game-changer. KEY FEATURES: Engaging Gameplay: Enjoy the classic challenge of connecting four in a row, now with a twist! Each turn begins with practicing a speech sound, making articulation practice an integral part of the game. Speech Mastery Through Play: Players can tap on each word to hear a clear pronunciation model. A visual counter tracks repetitions to encourage frequent practice and build speech accuracy. Targeted Sound Practice: Choose from a variety of game boards, each focusing on different sounds, including R (initial, vocalic, blends), S (initial, blends, final), L (initial, medial, blends), SH (initial, medial + final), CH (initial, final), J (initial, medial + final), and TH (voiceless). Target words have been meticulously selected by a speech-language pathologist, and a clear pronunciation model can be heard aloud by tapping on the image. Multiple Modes and Levels: Challenge the computer in single-player mode or play against a friend, SLP, or parent in two-player mode. Select from easy to difficult levels to suit the student’s skill level. Two players can even choose different sound targets, making it ideal for mixed speech groups. Rewards and Motivation: Win a game and color in three stars. Every 10 repetitions also earns stars or diamonds, helping kids stay engaged and motivated to practice more. Research-Based: Research suggests that massed practice, with many repetitions in a short period, enhances speech sound acquisition and motor learning (Maas et al., 2008; Bislick et al., 2012). This game leverages this principle to help children improve their speech more effectively. Score 4 Articulation turns speech therapy practice into a game kids will love. Download now to help your child or students make meaningful progress through play.
