Detention Source vs CORE ELD 2.0

Detention Source is an application that autonomously invoices and processes detention requests between shippers, carriers, truck drivers and logistic professionals. Using custom parameters set on appointed geofence locations, the application automatically detects with accuracy the arrival and departure times to each geofence at the shipper and receiver. The system automatically sends out notifications when the driver is entering detention and sends out a detailed invoice which is custom to each customer’s detention policy that allows the customer to approve or decline the detention request within seconds. Once approved, the system auto generates a voucher for the carrier or truck driver to use at the time of invoicing to get compensated accordingly for the detention.

Core ELD 2.0 is an electronic logbook for commercial drivers. It replaces paper logs with automatic recording of driving hours, duty status, and vehicle data from the engine. Driving time is recorded automatically once the ELD device connects to the vehicle. The app tracks Hours of Service limits, shows remaining time on each clock, and alerts drivers before violations occur. Drivers can change duty status, review their records and make compliant edits when needed. DOT Inspection Mode presents Records of Duty Status in a clear format for officers, or allows drivers to transfer logs electronically. The app also includes DVIR reporting for daily vehicle inspections, as well as digital log certification.
