About

Green Hour

Everyone tells you that getting outside is good for you. Green Hour helps you see whether it actually makes a difference to how you feel. Check in before you go outside, then check in again when you come back. Green Hour looks at the change between those two check-ins. Do that over a few weeks and you start to see your own patterns. HOW IT WORKS A check-in takes about ten seconds. Choose up to three emotions from the feelings wheel, then give yourself a rating from 0 to 10. Start your session, put your phone away, and go outside. When you’re back, check in again. Green Hour simply compares the two ratings. Your emotions aren’t given scores or ranked against each other. The only number that matters is the one you gave yourself. Over time, those changes build into your Nature Delta: a rolling picture of how much being outside tends to shift how you feel. You might notice that certain times of day work better for you, or simply that you feel better on days you get outside. WHAT YOU GET - A feelings wheel with a small set of emotions, capped at three, so a check-in takes seconds - Sessions that start with one tap and keep running if you restart your phone - A daily goal, 30 minutes by default, and a streak that counts the day even when you skip the check-ins - Your Nature Delta with a trend line, a green-days calendar and time-of-day patterns - Widgets: goal ring and streak, delta with a sparkline, and a lock-screen circular - Apple Health import for outdoor walks, runs, rides, swims and hikes, brought in quietly, with mood optional and added later if you want it - A daily reminder that knows how much light is left - A monthly recap card you can share BUILT TO BE KIND A session with no check-ins still counts toward your streak. Days where the delta went the other way show in muted amber, and the copy takes them in its stride. There is no leaderboard. Green Hour tracks the sun through your day and the whole interface moves with it, from morning through golden hour into a night palette that feels like standing outside after dark. It will tell you where the light is, never what the weather is doing. It cannot see the sky. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE There is no account and no server. Your check-ins, notes and ratings sit on your device, and there was never anywhere else for them to go. GREEN HOUR PLUS The habit is free, forever. Logging, sessions, streaks, widgets, your headline delta and your monthly share card are never paywalled. Plus adds four weeks of daily history, a recap for every month you've logged, the complete emotion-level breakdown and your best time of day. And if money is the thing standing in the way, the paywall has a "Can't afford it?" link. Tap it and Plus is yours. No proof, no email, nothing sent anywhere. Money should not decide who gets the whole picture. Green Hour Plus is monthly or yearly, with a 1 week free trial on the yearly plan, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, which you can do anytime in the App Store. Green Hour is a wellbeing tool. It does not diagnose or treat anything.
