Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Booster Prep at fortnightly against The Study Boards's every 4 months. Booster Prep also leads on ratings volume (721 vs 1). The Study Boards's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Booster Prep sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and The Study Boards sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
The Study Boards holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Booster Prep has 721 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
