Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: VanBit at 5.0 against Websea's 4.2. Websea's advantage is ratings volume (38 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VanBit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Websea has 38 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of VanBit's written reviews are positive against 67% of Websea's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
